For historical reasons, 4 minutes and 33 seconds has been chosen as the time limit for these audio abstracts. The theme of this first event in a series of further conferences like this is "plausible alternative to silence". The event begins at 7pm. Rihmasto will participate to this conference with an abstract of research... 4'33'' of Sound: Abstracts of Audio Art - - - Metsän juurella, a new rihmasto album, will be published soon. It will be one single 80 minute track full of very deep, dark and peaceful atmospheres. Pauanne - - - We are working with rihmasto audio-DVD project. That will be several hours of continuing 5.1 sound. There will be campfire and peaceful forest soundscapes. Hopefully it will be published this summer. - - - We have also started a collaboration with Jason (Jaakko Saari). That really works great, and hopefully it will be ready during this year. Maybe we will play some gigs later with him.
